PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
This apartment in the centre of the Heliport complex is fully furnished, and equipped with modern amenities. It also comes with a private storage room, free-to-use city bikes, and is perfectly suited for a single occupant or a couple.

The hallway through which you enter the apartment features storage space for shoes and laminate that cover the floor of the entire apartment.  The 1st door on the left leads to the bedroom, where large wardrobes provide ample room for hanging clothes and storing miscellaneous items. The bathroom is attached to the bedroom. As well as a shower and sink, the bathroom also houses a washing machine.

Walking straight ahead, past the separate toilet and toward the end of the hallway, you are welcomed into an open living room with a lounge area and dining table, complete with contemporary chairs. Through the door in the living room, you can step out onto a private balcony – a great place to relax and have breakfast in summer.

The open kitchen features a combi microwave/oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge, freezer, and full set of kitchen utensils and crockery. The stove top is fitted with induction plates, for which appropriate pots and pans are available.

Furthermore, the apartment offers facilities, such as free Wi-Fi, city bikes, a cleaning service, flat-screen Smart TV, working desk for two (with screens) and washing machine. An ironing board, vacuum cleaner and cleaning utensils are also provided and stored in the storage room.

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA – suggestions from the owner
On 14 May 1940, the centre of Rotterdam was destroyed by a German bombardment and the city still burned for days after. In May 2006, the executive board of the Municipality of Rotterdam decided to physically demarcate the boundary of the bombardment and subsequent fire as the ‘lieu de mémoire’ of the catastrophic destruction of the historic city centre, and as a ‘phenomenon’ that leaves no doubt about the reason for Rotterdam’s modern city centre. Close to the apartment you can start a (virtual) tour that will take you along this fire boundary and into the history of Rotterdam.

If you continue all the way down the line of Rotterdam’s rich history, you will find its origin – the river Rotte. The first dam was built in the river in 1270, marking the founding of Rotterdam. Since then, Rotterdam has expanded and grown into the largest port and one of the coolest cities in Europe. The river Rotte does not only play a pivotal role in Rotterdam’s history however, but also in life in Rotterdam today. Flowing through both densely-populated historic districts and the green periphery around Rotterdam, this river still functions as a means of transportation and a source of entertainment, inspiration and tranquility. And as the Rotte flows right by the apartment, you merely have to step outside to take a walk or bike ride along the river.

Around the corner you’ll find a small theater, some specialty stores and eateries. Also, the Rotterdam Oogstmarkt (Harvest Market) is but a short walk away. On Saturdays, you can visit between 10.00 – 17.00 to shop for local produce.

SHOPS
Get your groceries at the Albert Heijn around the corner or order food at one of the restaurants nearby. Supermarkets are nearby as well as a fitness centre, the Luxor Theatre, the famous Markthal (indoor market) at Blaak and the shopping street at Beurs.

GETTING AROUND & PARKING
The apartment is easily accessible, both by car and by public transport. It is a mere 1-minute walk from the Hofplein and the city’s shopping centre, and it only takes about 5 minutes to bike to the central station. To that end, two city bikes are provided for in the locked private shed outside.

The highway A20 to Amsterdam, The Hague or Schiphol is only 2 km away, so it is easy to reach by car. Do you work in the Botlek, south of Rotterdam, near Hoek van Holland or The Hague? By car, you can count on a 20-30 minute travel.
Although the neighbourhood has no free parking, residents that own a car can apply for a parking permit at the municipality.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
As for public transport, the apartment is located perfectly. Tram line 4 and bus line 38 have stops right in front of the door, though it takes only 15 minutes to walk to the central station.

SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
When you rent any of our apartments you will get a fully furnished and equipped place ready for move-in. We make sure that all you need to arrange are your belongings. The contracts and connections for internet, gas, water & electricity are all arranged by us. On your move-in date, rest assured that everything will be working and clean, and expect no hidden charges the day you are moving in. Bi-weekly cleaning is provided for the apartment and the shared parts of the building are also cleaned regularly. The apartment is privately owned and managed by a professional property manager. We will take care of everything for you and make you feel at home!

SAFETY FIRST
The apartment is equipped with all safety measures required: a fire extinguisher and smoke detectors.

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
We will do a credibility check on our tenants. Therefore, we need (financial) information such as ID’s, recent salary slips, employer statements or proof of registration at the university from you before we can rent out the apartment to you.
