At this moment there’s ample choice between splendid rooms, studios and apartments that are available for rent. You can opt for low-budget offers and higher-end more spacious, luxurious offerings. Much of the real estate is fully furnished and freshly renovated, and looks great on the pictures. 

Nice! But… can you trust and rely on the landlady or property manager? Do the pictures convey the real state of the property? Is the property owner honest and fair? Will you receive your deposit back and is the rental contract in line with Dutch law? May you terminate the rental agreement with a month’s notice? Will somebody show up to help you out if there’s no hot tap water or if you lock yourself out? Those are important considerations as well!
